Explore the Farmer's Markets in Apt or Lourmarin, walk in the hills of the Luberon mountain, sample the local wines (Chateauneuf du Pape is only one hour away), dine under the stars, visit the Priory of Ganagoby and Aix en Provence or just relax by the pool!

 

Distance: The house is only 5 minutes by car from the charming hill-top village of Viens. Amneties there include a lovely cafe/bistro, Le Petit Jardin - so if you do not feel like cooking you can just jump in the car and have a wonderful meal (with great value for money!) - a good grocery shop, and an excellent baker. The town of Cereste is only 15 minutes away (which has an excellent butcher's shop) and the nearest big town, Apt, has two supermarkets and a lovely city centre with plenty of intresting local shops. Other charming hill-top villages such as Menerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Lacoste and Oppede le Vieux are also a short 30 minutes - 1 hour drive away.

Travel: The nearest airport is Marseille. Ryannair flies direct to Marseille from April to October, and Air France and British Airways also both have flights to Marseille. The nearest train stations are Avignon (45 minutes) and Aix en Provence (TGV, 1 hour).

Coast/Beaches: The nearest beach - Carry Le Rouet, Marseille - is 1 hour away. Cassis is 1 and a half hours away, and the Cote d'Azur (St Tropez, Canne, Nice, Monaco) are approximately 2 hours away.

Booking Notes: To secure a booking we would need a 25% non-refundable deposit with the balance (non-refundable) payable up to 8 weeks before your stay. There is a refundable security deposit of £500 payable on arrival against breakages and damage. The house is for a maximum of 8 people. We regret that pets and smoking are not allowed
